Oyster Point Family Practice will be closed tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd and Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. If you should have a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1. If you have an urgent medical problem requiring that you speak to a physician please call Riverside Hospital at 757-594-2000 and ask the operator to page Philip Gurecki, PA-C, who is the physician on call for Oyster Point Family Practice.                                         CORONAVIRUS OFFICE POLICY UPDATE!!

Effective immediately! Please be advised:


In accordance with new regulations issued by Governor Northam, we are now able to see patients in the office for regular visits, including annual physicals, Medicare wellness visits and well child checks in addition to follow up visits for ongoing health issues.  If you would prefer not to come into the office yet, telehealth visits are still available.  Simply tell the receptionist that you would like a telehealth appointment when you schedule your appointment or if you already have an appointment scheduled, call and ask to have your appointment changed to a telehealth appointment.   


The lobby will remain closed until further notice, so please continue to follow the instructions below regarding checking in and coming to appointments.   Thank you.   This is necessary to protect our staff as well as our patients. Coronavirus Update!!


  This is the latest advisory from Oyster Point Family Practice regarding the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.  In accordance with the White House, CDC, federal, state and local guidelines regarding the Coronavirus, we suggest, if you are feeling sick with any of the Coronavirus symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, or cold symptoms), that you STAY HOME.  Call us and we will walk you through the necessary steps to get you to the appropriate facility. 


  Additionally, we are also providing TeleMedicine, which will allow a patient to schedule a phone consultation with a provider if they do not wish to come into the office for any reason as a result of the social distancing and/or quarantining advisories.  

Below are the revised procedures for coming to our office for a normally scheduled appointment.


  In order to comply with the CDC's recommendations of social distancing, our lobby will be closed to the public.  Upon arrival to the parking area outside our office please call our front desk at 873-2000 and let us know you have arrived.  We will verify all of your information on the phone.  When you are next to be seen, the office will call you back and ask you to come to the front door.  You will be escorted back to an exam room by one of our staff members.  


  As your Primary Care Provider, it is our intention to provide you, our patient, with the best medical care and information available regarding this virus and we will do so.  However, advisories, information and treatment plans for the Coronavirus are constantly evolving and require us to update our policies and procedures as well.  With that in mind, we would appreciate your patience and understanding as we may have changes to our office's response plan quite frequently, if needed. 


  We will make every effort to keep you informed of these changes as they occur.  Please stay informed and up-to-date by following us on our social media pages and our website, as these sites will be updated with the latest information.  Most of all, please follow all federal, state and local health advisories to help prevent the spread of infection and WASH YOUR HANDS!!

Our phones are turned off between 12:55PM - 2:00PM and then again after 4:30PM.

Just a friendly reminder about the Office No-Show Policy...

All appointments should be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance of appointment time.  If you do not cancel appointment prior to scheduled appointment time you do not come to your appointment, a no-show fee of $40 will be added to your account.  If you are a New Patient and you do not cancel your appointment nor show up for your appointment, we will be unable to reschedule you.  There are two ways to cancel an appointment - by telephone during office hours at 873-2000 or after hours, you may leave a message at

223-4091.  Thank you for your adherence to this policy.
