After regular business hours, you can reach one of our physicians for urgent questions or help. Dr. Robeson share call with Dr. Lee Ginsburgh. On occasion, our Nurse Practitioner, Denise Chernitzer, may take call as well.
When calling our office after business hours, you will hear a recording explaining which physician is on call and instructing you to call Riverside Regional Medical Center in order to have the physician paged. Please note, this machine does not record messages, so please do not try to leave one.
If it is after normal business hours and you need to reach one of our physicians, please call Riverside Regional Medical Center at (757) 594-2000 and ask for the physician on call for Oyster Point Family Practice. Generally, you should reeceive a call back within 30 minutes from the physician on call. If you do not get a return call within that time, please call Riverside again and ask them to contact your physician again. Sometimes, the operators can try to reach them at home or on their cell phones if the pager is not getting results.
MEDICATION REFILLS AFTER-HOURS
Medication refills will not be handled by the physicians on call except in extreme cases. Please contact the office during normal business hours to request medication refills. Please plan ahead for your prescription refills and talk to your doctor or nurse during business hours.
