Immunizations

Oyster Point Family Practice DOES NOT administer the COVID-19 shot!  Click here for more information.

Immunizations protect us from serious diseases and also prevent the spread of those diseases to others.  At Oyster Point Family Practice, our patients can receive all their required immunizations, both childhood and adult.  We maintain a wide variety of immunizations in our office and the provider can order them for a patient at any time.  Some of the immunizations that we provide are:

  • Tetanus shots (TDap)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella)
  • IPV (Polio vaccine)
  • Pneumonia Vaccines (Prevnar & Pneumovax)
  • Zostavax ( Shingles Vaccine for patients over age 50)
  • Flu Shots (Seasonally)
  • Many other vaccines

We follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) when administering vaccines to our patients.  When treating newborns or infants, we follow the immunization schedule as laid out by the U.S. CDC.

Although many childhood diseases that were once common — such as mumps and measles — are now rare in the U.S., these diseases do still exist. And children who aren't protected by vaccines can get them. That's why it's important to understand and keep up with your kids' vaccine schedules.
