Denise H. Chernitzer, DNP, FNP-BC, PNP-PC

Denise H. Chernitzer, DNP, FNP-BC, PNP-PC, is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who recently earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.  She joined Oyster Point Family Practice in 2007.  She received her Master's of Nursing degree and her Doctor of Nursing degree from Old Dominion University and her Nurse Practitioner's education at George Washington University.  Denise focuses on treating women and children of all ages.

Denise is Certified to perform DOT (Department of Transportation) physicals for those patients seeking a Commercial Driver's License.

She is married, a mother of four children and has four granddaughters.  She enjoys ODU sports, especially basketball and is active in her church.  She also enjoys reading, knitting and traveling.
